Over the years, I have always had an itch for writing, being creative, graphic design, and generally just being an explorer. I always saw a blog as an amazing opportunity to combine all of those loves. I've spent many an hour pouring over inspiring bloggers webpages, blogs, pinterest, and tumblrs analysing what makes them tick, what makes them leave you wanting more...
I've found that you can't do without a unique voice and a clear brand. They are the most important ingredients for a successful blog. And actually being a good writes and coming up with quality content are absolutely essential. Even if your blog or website looks awesome, if your articles are weak, poorly written, unorganized, etc., people start to see that pretty quickly.
Also, captivating images. The difference between a subpar and and excellent blog (given that their content quality is comparable), is great images. A great photo of food, fashion, or a travel, will draw the reader in and will bring life to the words on the screen. A great photo can also be used in today's social media world to boost your traffic to your site. It will inspire people on Tumblr or Pinterest to save as inspiration and it will make Facebook, Google+, or Twitter posts more engaging. And the whole point is to pull people to your blog, right?
